Finished in Burgundy over a black interior, this 1979 Ford F150 is the recipient of a complete frame off restoration. The F150 was the only way to get the short bed option in this two year model run and this truck has been done to show quality.
The truck was taken down to bare metal and has been refinished in a beautiful two stage, base/clear paint job. The frame of the truck was stripped down to bare metal and was repainted in a clean black finish. You will find all new glass throughout the truck and all of the stainless and chrome has been replaced as well. All of the window seals and door seals are new and all of the body bushings were replaced when the cab and the bed were put back on the frame.
The interior has the same gorgeous paint as the exterior and comes complete with new carpeting, new door panels, a recovered bench seat and rebuilt gauges. The truck uses a modern AC system which also replaces the heater box with all new components. The stereo is now a digital unit that fits in the original location.
Although you could not get a 460 from the factory, the 460 CI is the engine to have in one of these Ford. This one has been rebuilt to factory specifications and hooks to a rebuilt C6 transmission. The transfer case and a rebuilt 205 unit and the front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a Ford 9”.
