Shelby CSX2000 Bondurant Tribute Cobra

504 HP Carroll Shelby Engine Company V8

A rare opportunity to own one of the most authentic modern interpretations of Shelby’s legendary FIA competition Cobras.

This Shelby CSX2000 Bondurant Tribute is a tribute to racing icon Bob Bondurant and the famed CSX2345 FIA Cobra that competed throughout Europe during the 1964 and 1965 racing seasons. Built with an uncompromising commitment to authenticity, this car recreates the look, feel, and driving experience of the original Team Shelby FIA roadsters while benefiting from modern craftsmanship and reliability.

Finished in period-correct Bondurant racing livery, the CSX2000 features the distinctive FIA competition bodywork, laid-back windscreen, diagonal roll bar brace, competition-style fuel system, cut-back doors, flared fenders, and numerous race-inspired details unique to the original European FIA cars.

Power comes from a numbers-matching all-aluminum Carroll Shelby Engine Company V8 producing an impressive 504 horsepower and 518 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with four Weber 48 IDA carburetors and paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, the engine delivers the raw, visceral experience that made the original Cobras legendary. Power is transferred through a limited-slip differential and planted to the pavement by Avon CR6ZZ tires.

Built on a faithful round-tube chassis using original AC design drawings, the CSX2000 retains the period-correct independent suspension with transverse leaf springs, rack-and-pinion steering, and race-inspired suspension geometry. Shelby engineers intentionally resisted modernizing the platform, resulting in a driving experience remarkably close to the FIA competition cars of the 1960s.
