Equipped with four Weber 48 IDA carburetors and paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, the engine delivers the raw, visceral experience that made the original Cobras legendary. Power is transferred through a limited-slip differential and planted to the pavement by Avon CR6ZZ tires.
Built on a faithful round-tube chassis using original AC design drawings, the CSX2000 retains the period-correct independent suspension with transverse leaf springs, rack-and-pinion steering, and race-inspired suspension geometry. Shelby engineers intentionally resisted modernizing the platform, resulting in a driving experience remarkably close to the FIA competition cars of the 1960s.
