Plymouth GTX

SOLD
  • Year: 1968
  • Make: Plymouth
  • Model: GTX

This 1968 Plymouth GTX is finished in Sunfire Yellow over a very nice black interior. Originally delivered to Mr. Nelson E. White of Salisbury, North Carolina, this stunning Plymouth remained in that state until last year when the car received a mechanical and cosmetic freshening. It survived all of those years in the hands of collectors and never fell victim to the horrors of distasteful modification or corrosion.

The car survives to this day with it’s original 440 Super Commando Engine, original 4 speed transmission and Sure Grip rear end. In addition to these factory options, the GTX also came equipped with a tinted windshield, radio, rear seat speaker, body accent strip, center console, remote control mirror, undercoating, chrome road wheels and red streak tires.

Surviving with the car is the original build sheet and also the original car invoice from Foil Motor Company. The original car invoice is in truly mint original condition and alongside the build sheet does an excellent job of documenting the original options on the car. As far as we can tell, the car survives with all of its original metal including the floors and trunk. It’s a pleasure to cruise and runs out like the perfectly stock vehicle it is. For the Mopar purist looking for a complete GTX, look no further. Move Over Plymouth Approaching Rapidly.
