Cadillac Eldorado

SOLD
  • Year: 1976
  • Make: Cadillac
  • Model: Eldorado

Originally advertised as the "only convertible built in America," the Cadillac Eldorado was sold as a legend-to-be and remains one today. Lifelong Cadillac owners lined up to buy the boat sized convertible cruiser and in fact, Cadillac had never built a Cadillac convertible of this size and most likely will never build one again. Cars have since shrunk in size and the idea of rolling down the street in a living-room-equipped vehicle outfitted with a 500 CI motor became a thing of the past. In terms of cruisers, there are not many comparables available today, sans a few Bentley or Rolls-Royce convertibles.

Finished in Georgian Silver Metallic over a well kept grey interior, this 1976 Cadillac Eldorado has travelled just 13,500 miles since new. It has spent its life as a garage kept, weekend car, in the care of just two different owners. The Caddy still retains its original paint on the metal body, although the plastic filler panels have been replaced and repainted. The original glass is in excellent condition, as is the stainless trim and the original chrome. The engine has never been touched or detailed and retains all of its original finishes as has the undercarriage.

The interior leather is still soft, and has not been re-dyed or repaired. The carpets are original as well and are in excellent shape for their age. The dash and door panels have not been damaged by the sun and are crack free and in great shape. The steering wheel is also in excellent condition and the buttons and knobs in the interior have seen little use. The trunk has the full size spare and jack and looks factory complete with the original stickers in place under the rear trunk lid.

The vehicle has been completely serviced by Classic Car Studio and is ready for the next owner. It should be noted the upon arrival, the car was in excellent mechanical condition, however, we have completed a full tune up, and have changed out all of the fluids. The tires are a brand new set of Coker Classic radial white walls. The car starts up and runs smooth as butter and the car drives out that way as well.

Whether you are looking for a wonderful parade car, weekend family cruiser, or golf club transport vehicle, this Eldorado is a wonderfully kept survivor.
