Although the XK150 bears a resemblance to its predecessors, the XK120 and XK140, the 150 represents the final iteration of the line and was, by this point, very much redesigned.

This 1957 Jaguar XK150 FHC underwent a frame up restoration between 2006 and 2008. The results are magnificent and the color combination is stunning. The 3.4 liter motor purrs and the car is equipped with the 4-speed/overdrive combination which provides for a most excellent highway motoring experience.

Prior to paint, the car was taken down to bare metal and now features a rich coat of hand finished red paint. All of the chrome was removed and has been re-chromed and the trim has been polished out. The glass is in excellent condition and the car is kitted out with all new rubber seals and gaskets.

The interior of the Jaguar is luxurious and features new leather hides, new carpeting, a new headliner and refinished dashboard. It is appropriately sound deadened making it quiet to drive out on open highway and around town as well. The trunk has also been accurately restored and matches the interior.

The 3.4 litre engine has been rebuilt and the carburetors were just recently tuned. During the restoration, the transmission and rear end have been gone through as well. Although it was possible to order these cars with drum brakes, this XK features the 4 wheel Dunlop disc setup which peek out from behind a very nice set of wire wheels. The engine compartment is tidy, correct, and remains in very clean condition since the restoration.

The Jaguar is a wonderful car to drive. After a quick warm up, the car accelerates quickly and handles very well for a motorcar of this era. The gauges are accurate and the Jaguar cools correctly. The XK behaves well out on the highway, tracks nicely and pulls strong through the gears.

For the collector looking for show car or extremely nice driver, the XK150 may be your next toy.
