1963 Ford Galaxie Drag Car
This P-Code, 390CI 330 HP, 4-speed Galaxie fastback is the original 1974 AHRA Stock Record holder owned and raced by Bill Samuels from 1967 to 1976. The car was built by J&E Automotive (longtime racers Johnny and Eddie Bone of Pea Ridge, Arkansas). The 500 was sponsored by Honest Charlie's Speed Shop of Tulsa, Oklahoma and raced at Tulsa, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, and Green Valley Race City in Smithfield, Texas. The car has been very well cared for and kept in good condition by a few different collectors since it was retired from racing. The Ford is a very original car that benefited from a repaint and underbody detailing in the early 1990's. An effort was made to re-letter the car exactly the way it was lettered when it was raced in the late 1960's and early 70's. As she sits, the Galaxie is completely street legal and ready to be cruised, or taken straight to the track! The opportunity to own great piece of racing history will not last long!
