Dodge Challenger

SOLD
  • Year: 1973
  • Make: Dodge
  • Model: Challenger

The first Challenger was the division”s late entrant to the pony car market segment in the United States, launched for the 1970 model year. It was based on the similar Plymouth Barracuda’s new E-body, though the wheelbase, at 110 inches, was two inches longer and had substantially different outer sheet metal than its Plymouth cousin. Exterior design was done by Carl “CAM” Cameron, who also did the exterior for the 1966 Dodge Charger.

Finished in Super Blue(TB3) over a black and white interior(A6XW), this beautifully restored 1973 340CI 4-Speed Rallye Dodge Challenger has only traveled 55,469 miles since new. The fender tag and the original Chrysler Broadcast sheet verify desirable options such as:

  • E55 – 340 CI 4V
  • D21 – 4-Speed Manual
  • TB3 – Super Blue Paint
  • A6XW -Black/white Interior
  • V1W – White Vinyl Roof
  • V6X – Black Strobe Strips
  • A57 – Rallye Package
  • C16 – Console
  • B41 – Front Power Disc Brakes

For the most discerning Mopar enthusiast, there will be few such well prepared cars to choose from, and fewer still opportunities to choose them.
