We have been driving this killer wagon as our shop runner for the last two years and she has been a blast. The body on this wagon was originally gold and then it was brush painted many years ago and the car sat in the sun creating a killer patina. This is one of the most fun and usable classics we have ever owned and you can drive it everywhere. It’s an unexpected attention grabber and everyone wants to have a conversation about it.

The 383 engine, 727 trans and 8 ¾ Suregrip rear end have all been rebuilt. The 383 is +.030 has 1972 heads on it with hardened seats for UnLeaded gas. The Polara has an Edelbrock 750 Carb, Edelbrock Performer Cam and Edelbrock intake. The transmission is a 727 rebuilt and new torque converter. The rear end is a 3:55 ratio so it runs around 3,000 RPM at 70 MPH. The engine exhales through 2 ½” stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.

The engine and undercarriage have been painted the original gold color and are a killer contrast to the patina exterior. The rear end had been powder coated and the suspension has been detailed and painted.
