This 1952 Chevy 3800 Firetruck has traveled just 3,800 miles since new. For years, it served as the backup fire truck for a small town in Illinois where it was kept inside and saw very little use. The 3800 shares the same cab with the Chevy 3100 truck model however, unlike the 3100, it is equipped with all of the full, one-ton parts.

The truck is a blast to drive around town and features a two-speed rear axle which could be used for towing heavy loads. All of the sirens and lights work correctly making it a truly cool toy for the young at heart. The truck is entirely original with the exception of paint which was most likely done 10-15 years ago and a new driver’s seat cover which had began to deteriorate and was replaced. It’s truly a survivor and made it through solid and rust free as it never saw regular use and was stored indoors.

This is an FMC equipped truck, a company which is no longer in existence but maintained contracts with both the military and smaller government branches to produce pumps and pumper bodies for fire trucks.

With the truck comes a fairly complete set of fire fighting tools, including axes, ladders, and fire extinguishers. Whether you are looking to enter a parade, or cruise around town with the kids, this fire truck is will make it happen.
