Restored by Alan Johnson Racing Services in Grand Junction, this 1968 Porsche 912 was stripped down to a shell has been redone as an RS clone.

The engine is a 914 type 4 with dual Weber 44 carburetors, a shortened stroke, 96mm big bore, 66mm crank, stainless valves, lightened flywheel and a 9.4:1 compression ratio. It’s 2000cc and makes 150 HP to the rear wheels. The transmission is the stock 4-speed.

The exterior is finished in two stage Grand Prix White with black Carrera decals. The body sports rear fender flares, a ducktail rear spoiler and front spoiler. The Porsche is rust free and the door gaps are excellent. Glass and exterior trim are also in good condition.

The interior has custom floor mats, a racing pedal cluster, MOMO steering wheel, and Blaupunkt radio. The bucket seats are comfortable and supportive and are equipped with 5 point harnesses.

With the Porsche being quick and very light weight, the build successfully captured the feeling of a true driver’s car – driving this analog masterpiece is a thrill. The 912 has 6,000 miles post restoration and has had a recent service and compression test by a local Porsche expert confirming 125/130/130/130 compression across all cylinders.
