These 1969 Camaro custom aluminum valve covers just arrived back from getting some final etching performed. We thought they looked good but we had to get Burt Reynold’s approval to be absolutely sure. Here is a photo from our video conference yesterday. 1969 Camaro Tremec TKO 600 conversion
Just two weeks after project L89 hit the roads, the Camaro was back in our shop for more modifications. Although the M22 seemed like it would be a good combination on the car, the stock linkage and lack of 5th gear got the best of JF. We called up our friends at Keisler engineering for one of their plug and play Tremec TKO 600 transmissions and a couple weeks later it showed up. Were using a brand new Centerforce clutch/flywheel combination and project L89 will be back on the road in no time with a nice new highway cruising gear and and a tight new shift pattern.

Wiring…..Human vs Bird
If you’re into old cars, you’ve probably seen this a thousand times –it’s a seemingly beautiful restoration with a wiring job that looks like is was done by birds. The nest has probably been built under your dash, and even the thought of working on it probably makes you slightly ill.
When we’re constructing a custom car, its important to be neat and methodical - not only for appearance sake and our own sanity, but also for the next guy that has to go in a make a repair.
One of our very talented techs likes to think of his wiring as a “river flowing into small tributaries.” He may have watched “A River Runs Through It” too many times in the 90’s, or he may be on to something. …

Plymouth Prowler Customization
As car buffs we often go in search of quick and easy modifications to perform on our cars to make them stand out a bit either in terms of performance or looks. J.K. just purchased this great looking Prowler and despite my assumptions there are very few aftermarket parts available for these cars. So, were going to start with a custom air intake and build out from that point. Also available are some neat kits to delete the giant front plastic bumpers and really kick off that street rod look.

1969 Camaro L89 Pro Touring conversion
We’re down to the nitty gritty on this awesome 1969 Camaro build. We were able to preserve the original look of the car while tastefully upgrading the suspension and brakes with all of the top the line Detroit Speed and Baer Brakes products. Thanks to both companies for being such great suppliers both in terms of parts but also customer support!
The drive quality and handling are absolutely amazing. The six piston brakes come on like a brick wall on a foggy night. Crushing! She drives like a brand new sports car with classic body lines and styling. Best of both worlds!

1970 Dodge Charger Brake and Suspension upgrades
This 1970 Charger looks tough and has lots of power but the suspension system is absolutely miserable and the car barely stops. We’re upgrading the suspension with the Stage 1 kit from XV Motor Sports and using a Baer 4 wheel disc kit for the binders. The owner is going to reap serious benefit from these enhancements and the Charger will be transformed into one mean street machine.

1969 Camaro battery relocation
Here’s a great way to clean up your engine compartment and add some additional weight in the truck. A Battery Relocation kit. This one comes complete with a trick looking billet tie down/ tray and all the necessary cables. Just add a battery and labor in you’re in.

1965 Factory Five Cobra
This fine looking Cobra came it with a bit of a stalling issue and a blown head gasket. We’re going to install some higher quality gaskets with nice race studs and we’ve already rebuilt the carb and solved the stalling issue.

The headers fit!
After some head scratching and subsequent minor fabrication work, the headers on the L89 Camaro fit. All we had to do some minor fab work to the steering shaft, relocate the fuel lines, relocate the powersteering lines move the clutch linkage remove the reverse lock out mechanism etc… It was worth it in the end because they’re huge and they look serious. Can’t wait to hear these things in action!

Hellcat
We just received the second rear axle back from the powdercoater and it’s on the second Hellcat. We’ll put some more photos up after the rear suspension is dropped and adjusted.

L89 Hydro-Formed Subframe Installation
We just installed the front subframe on the L89 Camaro today. After we make some additional changes to the car we’ll be dropping in the motor and transmission.

Camaro Hellcat Gauge Wiring
Mark spent a few hours today wiring the gauges for the Hellcat Camaro in the tidiest of ways. No bird nest behind that gauge pod. Good job Mark!

Wiring the Hellcat
After a few months of bodywork, we’ve finally moved on the the final assembly stage. After installation of the sound deadening material, were laying the wiring before we install any major components. This will allow us to wire everything in as tidy a manner as possible without having to work around the engine and other cumbersome components.

Camaro L89 suspension installation
Kenny is almost finished with the fabrication for the 4-link suspension. We fit the rear end components today to check for alignment before he does his finish welding. 
Hellcat Gas tank installation
We’re eager to get the engine and transmission into the Hellcat #2 but were waiting on some wheel spacers that should be arriving today. In the mean time were installing the gas tank which required a little engineering since we are not using the original mounts that an OEM tank would have used.
