Custom cars are expensive to build and can take years, but this beauty is available now for a fraction of the build cost. Hop on it before someone else rides this pony out of town.

  • Year: 1967
  • Make: Ford
  • Model: Mustang
  • Submodel: Convertible
  • Mileage: 100
  • Color: Candy Red
  • Interior: Red/White

This 1967 Eleanor styled Mustang convertible was a complete custom build that has on test miles since a full restoration. It’s in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically, and is a blast to cruise! The car would do well at shows, could certainly liven up any collection, or,  be put into use as a very high condition driver. The vehicle just appraised for $122,000 which is still probably under the cost to reproduce this beauty.

The body features a killer House of Kolor Candy Apple Red paint job with Ice Pearl stripes. The two-stage paint job has been color sanded and buffed to produce a show quality finish. The custom body kit features side scoops, spoilers, a custom grill, side exhaust fairings, and hood and fender flares. The fit and fitment of the body kit is excellent and the bodywork is high quality as well. The headlights are high visibility Euro assemblies with additional fog lights, and the Shelby tail lights feature a sequential flash pattern.

The shock towers have been removed and the inner fenders were reinforced and the smoothed out. The front of the car has been stretched 3 inches including moving the front wheel opening forward and lengthening the front fenders and cowl. The firewall was also moved back and smoothed to allow the engine to sit further back in the car. The engine compartment has been finished in the same gorgeous Candy Apple Red paint.

The interior has a custom Autometer cluster and the trim and pad are both new as are the door panels, carpet, and kick panels. All of the seats have new foam and new covers and the top is brand new as well. The Shelby wheel is new and attaches to an Ididit tilt column.

The engine is a fresh 351 Cleveland with an Edelbrock carburetor Edelbrock intake. Exhaust flows through the super trick dual, side exit exhaust. The tranny is the Ford AOD, also know as Ford’s 4-speed overdrive tranny. Out back, there is a narrowed Ford 9” with 3:25 posi gears and adjustable shocks.

Modernizing maneuverability is a Mustang II style, power rack and pinion set up.  The wheels are 17” Polished Shelby American ten spokes with spinners and the tires are 235/45ZR17 in front and 255/50ZR17 in the rear. The brakes are 4 wheel power disc and stop the Mustang with urgency. Between the body kit and the suspension and wheel package, the car has a very aggressive look. It’s dropped 2” from stock height, and the handling is excellent.
