Finished in elegant and sporting Guards Red with a black leather interior and black top, this outstanding 911 convertible features: 3.2 liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder, 5-speed manual transmission, clean history and just over 43k original miles.

This 1984 Porsche 911 represents the highest evolution of the classic 911 body style with its fully galvanized body, much improved AC system, and unquestionable reliability. Not only does the 3.2 engine make more horsepower than its SC predecessor, but it also does not have any timing chain issues-one of the only notable problems found in the bullet proof SC. Speaking of Horsepower, the car makes 231 HP compared to it’s US counterpart which came in at 214 HP.

This car was federalized when it first arrived in the US and received smog equipment front reflectors and a MPH speedometer, but it still retains many of its unique European details including side indicator repeaters, smaller rear bumperettes, the more powerful Euro motor, the small lower brake light and Euro Hella H4 headlights.

This 911 is in wonderful original condition. There is some very minor wear to the leather seats, and the door panels, dash and carpets look great for their age. The German canvas top is in very good condition with only a tiny tear on a vanity flap where the frame meets the top. The paint is excellent with some small touched up stone chips on the front hood and a great luster and shine.

The Porsche 911 is and has remained the most significant and fundamentally unchanged of the great sports cars of the last half-century. A true enthusiasts car, famous for its race-bred handling, durability, profound beauty, and unique and steadfastly simple design, this compelling Guards Red cabriolet is a fine example of the earliest and most fully realized of the real world 911s. A car as comfortable for local commutes, as it is competent at performance extremes; this is undoubtedly the most iconic of the air-cooled 911s.
