Oldsmobile Toronado

SOLD
  • Year: 1967
  • Make: Oldsmobile
  • Model: Toronado

Starting life in 1962 as little more than a design painting by David North called the “Flame Red Car,” with no real intention for production; the Oldsmobile Toronado has since developed from design study to rare and high sought after design classic.

This lovingly restored Provincial White with custom factory ordered original Burgundy interior 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe is one of fewer than fifty produced in that year with bucket seats. This very rare and handsome Toronado features: 385 horse 425cid rebuilt V8 with 4-bbl carburetor, column shift automatic transmission, deluxe tilt and telescopic wheel, power windows, air conditioning, am/fm stereo, power antenna, power steering, power brakes, center console, new Pertronix ignition, original window sticker, documentation, protect-o-plate, and more.

Despite the fact that Oldsmobile had been working on a front-wheel drive layout since 1958, the Toronado was the first true production automobile in the United States to feature front-wheel drive since the demise of the Chord in 1937. These very special and highly styled coupes have, like the Riviera, been unsung classics of the genre in years past-however, these collectible and potent performers (0-60 in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 135) have come onto the radar in automotive circles and are just entering the beginning of their price arc.

401Ks are largely at the mercy of your company’s stock performance, Roth IRAs depend upon market behavior and the wisdom of your broker, stocks on the off the cuff decisions of disconnected CEOs-but exceptionally done automobiles at the bottom of their investment curve depend on nothing but time. This one is what they call a “No-Brainer”! Call today to secure this exceptional car for yourself.
