Built in the first week of April, this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle is nicely optioned with power steering, power brakes, buckets, console, matching numbers drivetrain and tachometer. Besides being a 138 code Chevelle, the car comes with its original Protecto plate.

The SS has just recently had a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration back to showroom condition. We have had many Chevelles grace our showroom floor, but this is one of the straightest paneled cars with just gorgeous body gaps. The doors close with a solid thud and the car drives out like a properly restored car.

At the start of the restoration, the car was stripped down to bare metal. The level of detail is incredible down to every square inch of the undercarriage. The paint is a two stage application that was wet sanded to 3000 before it was buffed out to a mirror finish. All of the trim is new from front to rear and the fit is excellent. All of the glass is new as well and has the proper factory Softray stamp on every pane. The undercarriage is mint and has been finished in the correct GM Satin black finish. Everything has a high level of detail from the suspension components to the engine compartment and every screw nut and bolt on this car has been handled.

As with the exterior, the interior is new front front to rear. All of the soft parts have been replaced such as the seat covers, door panels, carpeting and head liner. All of the small detail trim pieces are new as well. The dash has been properly restored and all of the gauges and lights are in good working order. It really has a wonderful feel to it and shows so well. A quick peek under the dash reveals body color paint under the carpeting and a totally new wiring harness that is neatly laid out.

The suspension and brake components have been gone through and restored to stock condition. Non-wear items like the control arms were media blasted and refinished in the proper GM satin finish. The car has power front disc brake and drum rear as it would have from the factory and a nice set of brand new redline tires.

The 396 engine is an ED code that was assembled in the beginning of April putting it just a few days before the build of the car. These ED code motors could be had with a Powerglide or 4 speed and came with 325 HP from the factory. The second stamping on the engine pad matches the VIN of the car as well. The rear end was built in on March 6th and is a CF code 3:31 Posi housing. The transmission was built in March 20th just two weeks after the rear end.

For the Chevy collector looking for a wonderfully restored car, the Chevelle need to be seen in person to be appreciated. Please come in for a visit! You will not be disappointed.
